Sibelius
My favorite interpretation of this great Symphony. I own at least 7 different recordings/conductors/orchestras. This is my favorite- it’s a little raw and aggressive at times. Great Chesky remaster of an already very good recording. You can really hear the texture in the strings lots of bow sound. Brass is a little bright but great. It’s the work laid bare- no reservations, they just go for it!
The Gold CD sounds a little better and fuller and meatier than the original. Don’t know if it was tweaked or not. The record sounds the best- but they are hard to find in excellent condition.

She’s great!
She’s great- most of the tunes are great- those that aren’t are still good. Fantastic voice.

Frishberg- another great recording
Dave is in good form on this one. The bonus is Snooky Young and Rob McConnel. Great pairing. For those that are unaware of Daves singing- you either love it or hate it. I think it’s great- plus his piano playing is beyond reproach.
