Onerpriced coupler
I often replace broken fence posts, and have to break out 2 sides of the old concrete which can be 16-24" deep. All I need is an adapter fpr SDS-Max to SDS-Max say 12" long to get deep enough with a 12-18" chisel bit.. Instead I had to buy both a 12" extension AND this coupler which runs $150-$250. I've had it a couple weeks and haven't broken or jammed it yet, but my hopes aren't high.

One solution
1 of 1 found this helpful This extension solution works, but it would be much more practical to simple make adaptors at appropriate lengths with male/female ends and eliminate an unnecessary joint of a very expensive coupler. I think these engineers come from the big pharmas.
