Not quite right

These two sockets look as though they are well made and of good quality. Unfortunately two different manufactured 813 valves would not mate correctly with either socket. The pins would enter about 0.3 mm before jamming. The problem was found to be that the holes in the ceramic base were too small to allow entry of the 813 pins. A reamer was used on both sides of the base until the 813 pins would engage the socket pins. Otherwise the sockets are usable if modified slightly.

Have one of these in your study, my case, or kitchen.

This item is neat, looks well constructed, has an easy fastened holder and a contents indicator. I had one of these some 20 years ago, on a boat and found it to be most reliable. Never got to use it but it stayed with the boat when sold and was still in the green.

Balsa cement. A necessay item for model construction.

This cement is invaluable for model ship and aircraft building. It flows freely and sets quite quickly. It is transparent in flow and when it drys. A little sandpaper will remove dried excess. I have used this product many times in the past and am using it now to build a model ship.
