Operational Test Results
4 of 4 found this helpful Tested this device to see how well it would perform supplying 115 VAC power to an LED shop light so that outdoor lighting could be provided when other power is not available. Used a 650 AH 12V deep charge marine battery to supply 12 VDC power to the inverter unit. The shop light is rated at about 35 W power consumption. Actual current draw from the battery was 3.6 A. The Bestek Power Inverter unit powered the shop light for over 7 hours before the battery reached the cut-off voltage for the unit. For this particular application, the inverter remained cool to the touch. The battery cut-off function worked exactly as specified, and it quickly shut down. The power fed to the LED shop light was stable enough to provide continuous operation for the entire length of the test. The extra power receptacles on the unit are a great convenience, and the USB charging ports are a real plus, especially at outdoor events where both lighting and cell phone charging are needed. This is a great product for me and I intend to buy another one soon. I did not test this unit on inductive power loads such as motors, however it should perform well for modular chargers which generally have an inductive transformer at the input stage and are not dependent on sinusoidal power. This unit is also very light weight and the supplied power cord is of good quality and durability.
