The best oil painting book I have come across, by far!
1 of 1 found this helpful I my opinion this is the best book on oil painting I have ever seen. It is like he is talking to you personally, so it is a joy to read and shows you how to see things like you may never have seen them previously. It is like taking a course with this amazing artist. Whether you are just learning to paint or are an accomplished artist you would benefit from this book, especially if you like this impressionistic style of painting. Even if you don't like his style, Gruppe has given the most useful information on colour that I have come across, and in an easy to understand manner as well. I just wish this book would be reprinted as there would be a huge market for it. At the moment it is so expensive it makes it beyond the reach of many, such a shame as there is nothing out there which equals it.

Very strong suction
