A Worthwhile Purchase for Me
0 of 2 found this helpful I wanted this lens because it duplicates the "normal" lens for 35mm photography. Unless it breaks or I lose it, I will not buy another one. Other lenses by other manufacturers in this approximate focal length are formulated as wide angle lenses.

Why Do the Gymnastics?
0 of 7 found this helpful This is Leica's last mechanical shuttered SLR. There is NO exposure or focus automation whatsoever. It appeals to me because I learned photography long before automation became the norm. The lenses and accessories are expensive because of company reputation and scarcity. You need to be a knowledgeable snob to want this camera. Get a Nikon F4s if you want a useable film camera.
