Hole not big enough

Bought this for my daily. Have a 8” skar sub for it but upon mounting the box makes contact with the basket leaving 1.5” gap between lip and box. Will need modifications to make it work. Box carpeting a bit sloppy as the glue did not adhere properly around the corners . Terminal leads provided needed to be extended as they are a bit too short to wire the sub. I could look past all that if the hole was just routed correctly. Skar sub in skar box… shouldn’t be an issue
