A good value compact phone that does the job.
A good value compact phone that does the job. I already have one of these phones and am very happy with it. The phone is user friendly, reliable and the reception and volume is good. One can download Nokia PC suite and Nokia suite to back up the entire contents of the phone including the contacts. Its also possible to back up the contacts online. The micro USB connector or Bluetooth allows easy exchange of files from your PC to the phone using the Nokia software. Using Nokia PC suite you can update the phone software, access and send text messages etc. Although you can access the internet only through your phone network it does not have wifi and is not user friendly for the internet and e mail. The camera is only 2 Mpx and not so clear. The phone plays music well and the radio is OK. Battery life is reasonable. Overall a good value phone that plays music if you are not interested in internet access and don't need a smart phone.

A good value usb microphone with a clear sound.
This is a low cost usb microphone that produces a clear sound for teleconferencing or voip calls. It has an on/off button on the front which is useful. I have used one for several years and it works fine. The sound will be better if the microphone is positioned correctly, and you speak fairly close to the microphone. Use your computer settings to adjust the correct level or let your application adjust the level automatically. To avoid echo, don't have your speakers turned up very high. After a lot of use, you may find the microphone hinge that swivels up and down may become a little loose, so I improvised a way to tighten it. For usb microphones to work properly, the usb plug and port need to be clean and make a good connection. A bad connection can produce some noise. It's not a professional microphone, but it gives a clear sound with good value.

Good value and performs well
An original Toshiba battery is very expensive and I could not find one locally. I installed this battery and to calibrate it, I fully charged and discharged it 3 times with the screen set to maximum brightness. It works very well and when new can power the laptop for about 4 hours set to maximum brightness depending on the consumption. It will last much longer if the brightness is set lower and with a balanced power plan. Your mileage may vary. It performs very well and I am very happy with it.
