This is not a throwing hawk
1 of 1 found this helpful While the head seems well-made, it is much too large and heavy to carry as a tomahawk.
I carry a tomahawk because it is light and small, and still an efficient tool for cutting small trees and Firewood.
This item is much more of a camp axe.
It is too heavy to throw. It does not balance well as a throwing hawk. It feels as if it needs a longer handle.
I will not be carrying this axe on my long hikes, although it will be an efficient camp axe and kindling maker, with a longer handle.

Like all dog doors, this one has some very small holes for air to pass through.
Much more solid than most models.
Overall happy with this purchase
