Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 Digital Camera
I needed two cameras one for mostly video one for mostly stills (swapping video to still and vv in a hurry has lost me some good shots). I had an excellent FX9.
I also wanted higher resolution as I copy fairly large documents with fine detail as well as outside shots that need analysis of detail sometimes. FX100 has twice the number of pixels (cf FX9) and a bigger sensor, which mitigates the downside of those extra pixels. The wide angle lens was just a bonus, already proven useful. The other bonus was using the same battery as the FX9 (not all little panasonics use the same). Since I always carry a spare charged battery with me, there was a clear advantage here.
Retail pricing varied greatly and I saw one on ebay, so did that instead.
It is an excellent little camera.
What more would I like? It would be nice if the 2sec delay could be locked so you don't have to set it up each time (a hassle when copying documents from a tripod) or a remote option of course. A direct exposure setting of course, but this sort of camera rarely has that.
Size is so neat though, top shirt pocket, so much much better than my Pentax SLR, which is only used in very particular circumstances.
With a fast memory card Extreme III it is a great performer.

Very nice bowls.
Very nice bowls. They look and feel like quality items. The decoration fits in with most things. Not microwaveable or would have 5 stars (though I have warmed up a couple of items in them without obvious harm).
As to good value for money I would put so-so but the boxes don't allow me to put that. Personally I paid well over the odds because of shipping Australia to England and VAT on arrival. But I really needed more for family parties and couldn't find locally.

Hard to set up.
I have set Honeywell ones up OK in the past, but I find this one very hard to set up, partly the skinny instructions, partly dual use (it seems) buttons.
