Name says it all
Mater's Tall Tales, what else is there to say? :) It's hilarious and fun to watch over and over again. Plus the DVD has 3 new shorts Heavy Metal Mater, Private Eye Mater, & Moon Mater. All of which are very enjoyable to watch. It's always fun to see how Mater pulls Lightning into his stories. They may only be 5 minutes long but it's a golden 5 minutes much better than what they classify as cartoons today. I think Heavy Metal Mater is my new favorite, maybe Tokyo Mater, ahh, I like them all, lol. This is a MUST buy for anyone who enjoys good clean humor. It's a perfect 5 from me though I'd like to give it more.

Warriors of Rock well... ROCKS!!
First off ignore IGN's review of this game they have no idea what they're talking about. For them to think GH5 is better than Warriors of Rock (WoR for short) I will never understand. WoR's set list is so much better, come on it's got Ozzy and Metallica performing Paranoid, Tesla, Black Sabbath, Poison, Def Leppard, Dragonforce, Megadeth, & Nickelback to name just a few. Plus on top of that you can export just about every Metallica song from GH:M and from previous games including *cough* GH5. Plus ALL DLC from GH:WT up plus every song has challenges. This game is easily one of their best in my book GH: Metallca's my favorite but this is a very close 2nd. Everything is very well done the stages are extremely detailed the characters move alot more and really look like they're having fun. One thing I liked the most was the opening to Bohemian Rhapsody just like to the music video the bands members stand together and do the intro which was a very nice touch. One thing I'd like to see in a future release is a little more facial movement for the singer as it still looks a little fake. But that is not enough to nock my rating down as I understand what goes into what they do and have a great respect for what they're doing. Ratings are 1 to 5 with 5 being best. Quest mode: 5 At first I was skeptical of it and thought it was over the top along with the charatecters Warrior versions. But actually it's a very fun change and enjoyed it far more than GH5's carrier. At first I thought Gene Simmon's narrating was over done but later relished he was just enjoying it. Overall Quest mode is very fun and a nice change from GH5. GH:Mix: 5 It was the only reason I even put the GH5 disc in my PS3. WoR's is pretty much the same which I still think could use some better metal tones but an happy it the same as GH5, now I don't have to torture my PS3 with that game anymore. GH:Tunes/Tracks: 2.5 It's directly tied intro GH5 and Band Hero which is nice to a point... It's still like grass that never gets mowed, 97% of it is 10 second single instrument can't beat this or impossible that. I really wish they would add a "Remove It" feature so songs like that would be kicked off, they really have no business being their. I don't play online so I will not say anything about it, but it's probably very fun and well done. Customization: 5 Pretty much the same basic's but alot of new and neat stuff alot of potential there. Instruments are the same quite a few new models. Sound: Off the charts It's got Ozzy and Metallica performing Paranoid, what does that say about it? :D Hands down it has the 2nd best list of songs. It's even got 3 yes 3 Megadeth songs one of which was made for the game. Some of the songs are over charted but that's really just to satisfy the best of the best and that only applies to Expert, hard is pretty well done not to much but not to little either just right. Lasting Appeal: Also off the charts I can easily see myself playing this game every single day, 90% of the songs are enjoyable which is the least I can say about GH5 (had only 3 songs). If you like Rock, Metal, songs that will actually test your skills, and a change from the same ol' same ol' carrier then this is a must buy or a least rent. If you like easy to play pop, alternative and everything below then go rent or buy GH5. Thanks for reading! :)

Not there best but GH Mix makes up for that
Why I bought it... Because of the free GH: Van Halen offer. Had it not have had that I would have just waited until the price dropped To me the setlist is bad and I figured GH:Mix would do the same thing the others did. I didn't think it would be any better than Guitar Hero World Tour GH:WT and definitely not as good as GH Metallica GH:M. I was right, again the song list had the worst choice of songs with the exception of 3 Doors Down, Iron, Maiden, and Bon Jovi. As for the graphics there quite a bite better than any of the others. The create a rocker is almost the same as in the past. Lot's of custimazation but very few decent hair choices. The chothes all all the same, might and I stress might be 2 or 3 new peices. But overall same old same old.. The competitive games are ok if you can play someone as good as you are you will have a blast. But for me it still gets old fast. I haven't tried the online portion of the game so I will not judge how that is. GH Mix: I thought for sure GH:M's GH Mix would not be beat. I am supprised to say I am wrong, for the most part. They almost out did them themselves on this. There needs to be more Metal tones, it's only got 2 good ones. I think there are way too many clean and oddball tones. They removed too many Keyboard tones as well. Back to the guitar though if you have GH:WT or GH:M I am sure you know what happens when you do quick power cord changes, you get that choppy cut sound. That was the only thing I had against GH:M's GH Mix and figured this one would be no different. I am very happy to say I was wrong. I tried everything I could to make it mess up but failed epicly. It isn't without problems though. After watching some videos on youtube of other peoples songs and thought that you could have power chords and lead on one chart, which would have been really cool. Sadly another dissapointment, all you can do is activate other notes so it just looks like you played the power chord. So that is an all but useless feature. GHTunes... Is like grass that never gets mowed... It would be half way neat if 99% of it wasn't crap... All you find on there is immpossible this or to hard that... GHTunes should have a "Remove it" feature where if the song gets enough of those votes it should be permemently removed from GHTunes... That would save alot of space and let all the good ones be heard. And that’s pretty much it for my review of Guitar Hero 5. I’ll end it with an over all rating on some of the aspects. Scale is 1 to 5 with 5 as best. Presentation: 3 Reminds me a lot of the older Guitar Heroes. Some new game modes but that’s it. Graphics: 4 Very good graphic’s easily there best. The fret boards suck though. It‘s the same thing for all characters unlike the older GH’s which where different. Gameplay: 2 Same old, same old, play each song once which is okay with me 96% of the songs I could only stand to play once anyway but it is getting old, Rock Band is far better. Sound: 3 It’s only getting a 3 from me because it has Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and 3 Doors Down on it. You can also play the DLC from GH:WT. Other than that this setlist should be balled up thrown in a rocket and shot into the sun. Lasting Appeal: 2 For me it's an epic failure the only thing that will keep me playing which is once every other week is GH:Mix and DLC. If you like all of the songs then you’ll not get board. Overall: 3.5 Only because of GH:Mix Thanks for reading
