Works straight out of the box.
It worked straight out of the box on both our Sony TVs. The Netflix button works on the smart TV - I wasn't sure if there were some original remotes that come with this and whether it would work on ours that didn't. It's sturdy and good quality. The only downside is some buttons are a little stiff and need to be pressed hard to work.
