Wonderfully Eerie and Atmospheric
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie is an old favorite of mine. It's hard to find and doesn't play on cable very often so I decided I wanted to own it. Spellbound is an unusual Hitchcock movie from the 40s where the mystery involves psychiatry, which itself was a mysterious topic to most viewers at that time. The partial solution to the mystery comes out in the dreams and repressed memories of Gregory Peck's character, some of which were designed by Salvador Dali. Very trippy! While I don't think Spellbound is consider a classic, it's a well-crafted mystery with great characters and an appropriately eerie vibe. I recommend this title for those who love Hitchcock. The DVD was in good shape and delivered on time.

Favorite All-time Political Drama
1 of 1 found this helpful My family are big fans of this series, having seen it on LA station KCET-TV a few years ago. It's probably the best political drama I've ever seen, very much like West Wing or even Veep, but better! Great acting, compelling characters and an excellent driving theme of the intersection of media and politics as well as an examination of the toll professional politics takes on one's family. You do have to pay close attention because it's in Danish with English subtitles. It took us a couple of viewings when it was on TV before we fully understood all the characters and relationships, but Borgen is well worth that investment. There is quite a bit of English spoken in season 3 due to the introduction of some key British characters, which was nice for us!
