A beautifully done musical for an adult listener
2 of 2 found this helpful I’m a professional sound engineer so I’m always listening to sound quality in CDs and full Symphony Orchestras and 120 piece choirs + soloists- is a hard thing for a sound engineer to record well live. This album which I own, has a very high quality mix and master in studio.
Everything falls together just as it should. The solo characters are crisp as they should be and yet you can still hear intricate orchestral lines. But the best part is the songs! From my understanding- not many people have heard this original live recording. It’s epic! If you’re a Snugglepot & Cuddlepie fan + a Peter Combe fan you’ll love this musical.
Probably suited to a young adult-adult audience as very different to Peter Combe’s other albums! A ripper again!

A Ripper of an album!
1 of 1 found this helpful All the hits of Peter Combe. The 80s classics of Newspaper Mama, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Juicy Juicy Green Grass and LIVE. Fantastic educational songs, still that live on today in schools and many Australian hearts.
I just purchased TWO copies as the price was very reasonable and like to have hard copies as well as the digital world of music. Being a sound engineer, I also bought it because it was remastered. Do yourself a favour and buy 1 or 10! Autographed too by one of Australian's Music Legends. I recommend!

A hidden Gem!
A different genre of album to Peter Combe's kids ones. More serious with languid ballads, acoustic guitars and you can hear Combe’s folky influence. A song written for his father is quite moving. After now listening to this album several times on a recent road trip I was really impressed with the variety. This is a must have if you are a big fan of Peter Combe as you’ll hear a different scope of his songwriting.
