Great upgrade, but some prep is NECESSARY.
These look good and are well made, aside from one thing. You ABSOLUTELY need to open up all 6 bolt holes, in both halves of every wheel, before you try to assemble them. Just a little, but it has to be done.
I'm not sure if it's just the paint thickness, or if the holes are slightly undersized. But out of the package, the bolts will try to thread into the rims themselves, instead of the aluminum hub. The bolts must pass through the holes freely, so that they'll be able to pull the two halves together. If they thread into/bind in the bolt holes in the rims, the rim halves wont come together correctly, assembly will be nearly impossible, and it's very easy to start cross threading the hubs.
Other than that, they add some weight, allow glue free tire changes, and they're formed and painted perfectly.
I'm using them on an SCX24 (Wrangler), with RC4WD 1.0 tires. They're perfectly in scale, lower the CG, and almost completely eliminate tire rub (which is extreme with the stock, oversized tires). Bigger tires look and work fine on the Deadbolt version, but this size is the way to go with all the other bodies.
One last note: If all you have is the Allen key that came with you're SCX24, you'll need to get yourself a basic set of Allen drivers. The wheel bolts use a larger size than the rest of the truck. Real allen drivers are easier to use, and fit better anyway.

Great upgrade for micro crawlers.
1 of 1 found this helpful These are way more flexible, and a much softer compound, than the stock tires on any micro crawler that I know of.
I'm using them on an SCX24 Wrangler, on RC4WD 1.0 steel beadlock rims. The stock tires on SCX24's are not only too hard and stiff, but also oversized (except for the Deadbolt version). These look way more scale, lower the CG, and almost eliminate the body rub, which is extreme with the stock tires (again, not applicable to the Dradbolt). And of course, they grip way better.

Less slop, no bending. Just add it to the cart.
1 of 1 found this helpful Eliminates a very significant amount of slop at the joints. More importantly, though, no more bowing from the floppy stock tie rod (longer link) when you turn with a wheel up against something.
You definitely want to ditch the stock servo saver, and replace it with an aluminum, or solid plastic horn. Or better yet, upgrade the servo, and use the included solid horn . These trucks are way too light and slow to damage a servo with a solid horn. Strong, direct steering, with no slop, play, or give, allows for much more control, and the ability to wiggle the truck into (or out of) place when needed.
There's also plenty of clearance between the tie rod and diff cover at full lock, even with the Hot Racing brass diff covers. So if you trim your stock axle, or upgrade to the Hot Racing aluminum one, you'll be able to add more steering angle without issue.
Dont forget the blue Loc-Tite when threading into metal parts.
