G&L Tribute L-2500 Electric Bass Guitar
02 May 2016
Maybe the most underrated bass
I randomly got an old g&l 2000 years ago. I remember being blown away with how it sounded and played. Foolishly I sold it. Now a little bit older and wiser, found its Asian made cousin. I waited patiently and scored a beauty. People know Fender and Music Man. They kind of forget Leo Fender had a 3rd company, G & L. I can get this bass to give me the growl and cut of a music man or the smoothness and warmth of a J-bass. It does a lot of tones and does them all exceptionally. Its light with the swamp ash body and comfortable to play on those long gigs. Love the maple neck with the tobacco burst finish. The last gig I had, my bass player friend charged the stage to find out what i was playing. Said it was one of the best tones he has heard live. Are there better basses? Sure. For the same price point? Not a chance.

Good little car
Positive) Its a driver's car. I've heard of the famed BMW handling and now I can confirm it. The inline 6 purrs. The 5 speed shifts clean and tight. It's from the pre-traction control computer enhanced era so its just you and the car which i love. Mechanically its solid and for the year and mileage I still average over 25 mpg which is what I would get from a brand new 3 series. Negative) Its a late 80s german car so its going to have its quirky electrical issues, no escaping that. Also, as the case with mine, the e30 series unfortunately are known for some bad paint issues. For a sedan, its small enough to be obnoxiousness. If it had one or two more inches in the back, this car would be super practical. As it is, I hope your rear seat passengers are small and or thin individuals. But then again you probably are not buying this car as a family sedan. Bottom Line) I'm very happy to own and drive a e30 era 3 series. I plan on holding on to this one for a very very very long time.
