Helpful and encouraging
An easy read for anyone who feels that their life could be going in a better direction. Plenty of practical advice without being too preachy or judgemental. Primarily aimed at Catholic readers, but suitable for anyone who believes in a god or gods.

A fun, upbeat movie, but needed better casting.
I'd already seen this movie in the theater and I love the infectiousness of the music, the fabulous locations and the message of celebrating life. However, I disagree strongly with some of the casting: Piers Brosnan can't sing - REALLY can't sing. It's painful! The young stars are great, but the older generation are all too old for the story: they should be in their early 40's. Why couldn't we have seen some younger adults who CAN sing - Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr, Ewan McGregor, Catherine Zeta Jones, Renee Zellweger, to name just a few? Then it might have been a GREAT movie, deserving of the timeless Abba music!

Great Il Divo songs and interviews. A MUST for fans!
I may be behind the rest of the world in discovering Il Divo, but I'm no less enthusiastic for that. This DVD, which came out around the time of their second CD, "Ancora," features five songs from a live performance in Spain in 2005, and an hour-long documentary on the origins of the group and its members. The interviews are delightful, especially from the later perspective of now (2009) when we know the group has gone from strength to strength and to monumental international success. Their genuine surprise and delight at the public response to their music is very endearing. They come across not only as superlative artists, but as charming and unspoiled professionals. Long may they continue!
