Nearly EVERY Bell & Howell 1500-2500 Series projector has a bad worm gear, rendering it useless. In rebuilding these the worm gear is essential to projector operation, as it drives everything. This is a NEW unit, made of Aluminum and will never crack or wear out like the original gear, made of an aluminum core with a nylon outer shell providing the teeth. This 100% corrects the original manufacturing defect.
