thinkpad is a good buy
The T60 was in very good shape and is a huge improvement over my netbook which was too small to comfortably work on. This T60 has a lot more screen real-state and is a lot faster too. The keyboard is great. My only complaint is battery life which is around 2 hours and a lot less than the 5 plus hours that the netbook got.

Tiny!
I tried running Ubuntu 16.10 on it but it was slow. Now I am running Peppermint OS 7 and it's much better.

It unmans me
One expects a thinkpad to be beefy and utilitarian but this is a very thin, light and unbelievably sexy laptop. It's disconcerting in a way but it has all the power you expect from the brand. The screen is brilliant, bright and the colors true and vivid. I do miss not being able to take it apart and swap out ram but to tell the truth I didn't really touch my last thinkpad. It is missing a standard ethernet port so I will have to get a dongle that in all truth may never use. I know I will get years and years out of this machine.
