Brilliant, heartwarming , thoroughly my type of film.
I wanted to see for myself that special chemistry between the key actors, the interactions could not be contrived or staged...it was wonderful.

The craft of Merchant Ivory.
I always wanted my own copy of this great film..... it was a piece of Art by the Ishmail Merchant and James Ivory combination, part of the wonderful triplet Room with a View, Maurice and Howards End.The music too was perfect.

A waste of time and money.
Very disappointed with the book, I assumed ( my fault) the format of the book.
Content was what I expected but it was unhappy with the purchase. Having lived in Italy I knew the places depicted but the scale of illustrations made it a worthess acquisition.
