Fitted Ok but was a defective product

When first fitted engine started when primed ok. Ran for a short while on 1/2 choke but would not run with choke off. Found a foreign particle in fuel delivery circuit. Cleaned. Unit ran ok for a while. Used for about 1 hour but noticed deuteriation in performance. Tried to use unit about a week later . Started ok but would only run when fuel was present from prime action and choke was fully on. Would not run on half or no choke. Replaced unit with older genuine second unit and no problems.
