Cormega: Holding Down the Bridge
Long time Queensbridge M.C. Cormega drops a real jewel with "The True Meaning". Despite lack of video play for the single, "The True Meaning", the record hits hard and refuses to hold back. Looking beyond beef with NaS, Mega's true talent as an east coast lyricist with the heart of a gangster bleeds through on this album. Don't sleep on Mega and miss out...he's the realness.

Olu Dara
0 of 1 found this helpful Olu Dara is a blues musician originally from Mississippi. He moved his family, sons Nasir Jones and Jungle(nicknamed so because he was born in the Congo) and wife, the late Ann Jones to the Big Apple. A talented blues player, he is more widely known for being the father of long time established New York City hip hop artist/rapper Nas. Nas is featured on this album, not rapping but eloquently speaking as if he was one of those prohibition era blues artists with a case of the blues in honor of his pops. Overall the cd contains nothing but harmonizing brass instruments minus the lyrics.

Streets is watchin' Jay-Z's rise to fame
2 of 2 found this helpful I like this film. It is an early time piece of the now brilliant Rocafella label. Jay-Z's early career between Reasonable Doubt and VOl. 1 is chronicled as a story intermittently takes place between his gritty music videos mostly focused on life at Marcy Projects. This is a must for any serious Jay-Z fans, brought a new respect for songs like you must love me.
