Great fun toys for future scientists and engineers!

Makers of Snap Circuits (Elenco?) came up with this bright idea of making electronic/electrical lego-like products for kids. They are highly entertaining, fascinating and highly educational. They are a great starting point to start teaching kids about electricity. The components are very reasonably robust and durable.
