Excellent CPU
Very powerful CPU for the price, however it has some compatibility issues with older motherboards. Highly recommend.

Cool
I used it in an LGA 775 build where I didn't have the stock cooler for a core 2 quad. It works well, although installation on an intel system is deceptively difficult. It involves hooking the latches on the cooler over tabs on a plastic insert placed into the cpu cooler holes on the motherboard. I found this extremely frustrating, as the cooler seemed to refuse to latch on all the way. It's probably easier to install on an AMD system.
The temps are decent (it keeps a q9550 under 70c while gaming), although the lack of airflow in the emachines case I used probably causes it the cpu to be hotter than it would be otherwise.
