Needed to restore data off a bunch of ancient (early-90s) floppies and of course lacked any computer old enough to still feature a drive. This external drive did the trick. Plugged into a Linux system and it worked right away without any need for drivers or such. Read about 40 disks. To my surprise, I didn't encounter a single read-error, though that may have just been lucky.

Converts a 3.5 inch into a 2.5 inch Dell HDD caddy
Does the job of securely mounting one or two 2.5 inch HDD or SSD drives inside a Dell OptiPlex 9020 Mini Tower, and presumably also in the other stated Dell computer models. It did fit much better than an off-brand adapter that came with my computer when I bought it used. Note that this part is NOT a caddy, but rather a caddy-adapter that converts a preexisting 3.5 inch caddy into one for 2.5 inch drives; you do need a matching 3.5 inch caddy to use this. Doing the conversion felt a bit more fiddly than necessary, and I would have preferred that Dell offered a simple all-in-one replacement caddy instead. The adapter can fit up to two 2.5 inch drives into a single 3.5 inch slot, but includes screws for mounting only one drive.
