Great CD Quality
5 of 5 found this helpful The wife likes to listen to her late father's old CD's and Country radio stations but was always fighting the reception & skipping CD's with the AM/FM CD player the daughter bought her. I did a little research and found this radio highly rated. The wife loves it. We can put an old, marked up CD in it and it will play with no problems. I even started smacking the table with my fist and it still wouldn't skip. The radio picks up plenty of our local stations and the sound quality is quite good. I would say the volume can reach levels that are more than ample for indoors. Once you figure out how to do it you can preset more channels than you'll probably ever use and it has 3 buttons on the top for your Top 3 favorite channels for quick access. Overall I would highly recommend this portable AM/FM CD player for household use or small gatherings. My only real con on this radio is the display. It doesn't light up which makes it difficult to read and when it is not being used it says "STANDBY". You would think that would be a nice place for a clock or something useful.
