Excellent emergency flashlights
1 of 1 found this helpful I've ordered 60 of these for a senior housing complex. All 60 worked upon arrival; there were no defective lights.
CONSTRUCTION:
The flashlight is made of very durable plastic, although it probably wouldn't be a good idea to throw it to the ground and stomp on it to test its durability. The casing should hold up well to everyday use, including putting it in a pocket or purse. A key-ring is attached to it, for fastening to a belt loop or another key-ring. Three "button" batteries, which ARE included and are already in the flashlight, power the 5 mini-LED lights. The flashlight puts out a surprisingly bright beam. I haven't time-tested it, but considering the strong light that it puts out, I would guess that the flashlight would probably work for 3 or 4 hours of continuous operation, which is on a par with most other flashlights that use conventional batteries. The button/switch requires a semi-firm touch to click to and from the 'on" position, and once it's clicked, it stays in that mode until clicked again. This is good, because it is difficult to accidentally turn the flashlight on if put in a pocket with mild pressure on it (the same can't be said for the squeeze light variety of flashlights).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
The flashlight won't work out-of-the-box, and that's a good thing, because if it did, it could be accidentally activated during shipping, and the batteries could be dead upon arrival. A small plastic disk/membrane protects the batteries from being in use until the customer removes the disk. Activating the flashlight is easy and should take less than a minute. Simply open the cap (where the button is), shake out the plastic disk that protects the batteries from being used during shipment, and replace the cap. DO NOT REMOVE THE PLASTIC SLEEVE THAT HOUSES THE BATTERIES! The flashlight works fine with the sleeve in place, and it will hold the batteries in position and offer them some protection.
This is not supposed to be your "main" flashlight. It's purposes would include: use for emergencies if the power goes out, to get to another light source, seeing the keyhole of your car door or trunk if it's dark out, or finding your way along an unexpectedly dark path at night, etc.. In other words, it's a "go-to" light that you might want to keep on you at all times, but it's probably not the light you would want to use extensively every day.
ALWAYS BUY FROM NORTH AMERICAN SUPPLIERS! I've bought these directly from China. They are less expensive, but they also take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive, and about 25% of them are usually defective in some way. I am certain that the seller either tests each flashlight before shipping, or buys them from a reputable supplier who tests them before shipping. As stated all 60 that I bought from this seller work and put out a strong beam.

Good for a replacement battery; the appearance is different than the one shipped with the LG-V10.

Good value compared to similar sets.
