good on flat surface but useless on thick carpet.
1 of 1 found this helpful This Vax upright hoover works fine on wood floors and i expect also on exceptionally thin carpets, but it will not work on my medium pile Wilton carpet as it it far too powerful and brush will not rotate. I also found it difficult finding my way around how to use it and empty it due to lack of instruction. Due to lack of instructions its possible i am not using it correctly and there could be a way to reduce the power when using it on my thick carpet. Sadly, until i find out, i will have to continue using my Mieli cylinder hoover.
