Maybe Just me...
For Julienne of hard vegetables including cucumber, this is a life savor,however for slicing, not so much. It takes me more time to cut the vegetable and position it on the proper spokes that it's easier for me to slice manually most items.
Now granted, this could be end user error but I read all the instructions, 3 times. I think, and I'm not recommending this, but for slicing if you remove the safety unit and just use your hands it would work nicely BUT, you could loose a partial finger doing so.
