Does It's Job
2 of 2 found this helpful I've had this things Big Brother (MX8) for several years now and can easily say, when it's working, it does a great job. I find some of the parts wear out over a year or two but found them relatively cheap online and learned to replace them myself. These units spend a lot of time in the water, (I've got tree's) so yes, they get a substantial number of workouts. They tend to clog/hang-up when they climb the walls and run into oversized leaves and sticks at the pool edge, but I've learned to manage that. They are not maintenance free and if you have large debris in your pool, you should remove it first or be prepared to clean out the unit, (takes just a few seconds…..but still). You can’t drop these things in the water, regardless of what’s in there, and walk away. But as I’ve said, I’ve learned to manage. For the price, and the amount of work they do, well….I now have two of them.

Great So Far
The parts in the kit seem to be just fine and my MX8 is back up and running. We'll see how long they last.
