Recommended because It is the Only Alternative to Replacing the Dryer!
This definitely is a good value considering the regular prices of the items separately. However depending on the amount of use each day and some other factors, you can expect to change all these parts again in 2 to 5 yrs. For these reasons I do recommend it but I would inspect the Lint Filter housing for cracks and listen to the Drive Motor at start up for an initial "deep growl" as an indication of bad Motor Bearings before investing money in any parts. If the Lint Filter does have small cracks sometimes they may be remedied by smearing a little silicon rubber into them. Wipe off the excess and let dry 24 hrs. If you have large cracks or missing pieces clothes can get caught on them and torn. So replacement is the only option at that point. Good quality? Likely at least as good as the original part, but I would not expect more wear than the original.

All Time Great Comedy!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have always liked Tim Conway. Don Knotts was the perfect partner for this movie. Every time I see it I can't help but roll when they are standing in "Horse Neers" as Tim Conway puts it. Another great scene is when Tim Conway is trying to get Don Knotts to regurgitate the "Buzzard Puss" by telling him to drink these terrible things to make him gag. This is a really great all time classic comedy.

Unless Time Proves This Wrong!
This appears to be a ruggedly built alternative to the manufacturer product at a great price! Heating elements fail most because of "lint and vent problems" that cause the heater to overheat especially at the tail end of the heat source. This is due to slowing of the exhaust vent air due to a blockage primarily from lint in the exhaust vent or improper installation of the exhaust vent. Once air is blocked the manufacturer version of the heater gets hot enough, specifically at the tail end of the heater, to warp the metal panel that holds the coil insulators and cause the unit to short to ground on this panel. The design of the diagonal coil arrangement may at least keep the heat in a more uniform pattern and lessen the likelihood of a warped panel until the 'cutoff & high limit thermostat' does its duty to turn off the heat. Though ultimately we will likely see some of these heaters again due to consumer negligence of the 'lint & vent problems' this appears to be at least a partial solution that may lengthen the life of the heater and possibly make it safer. The design is very encouraging and none have come back so far.
