ASUS Monitor
1 of 2 found this helpful VERY good image quality; HUGE screen; easy to assemble base. Base swivels, screen can be viewed in portrait or landscape but the thing that made me select this one is the height adjustable (up and down) plus the tilt. Wearing bifocals this is essential! Many monitors do not have the height adjustment and I find this ridiculous - such a simple thing to do.
Movies are great on this monitor - we do not do gaming so cannot speak to this but I am sure it is just as good.
Only downside: we have a VGA desktop and the box included the DVI-i (I think that is what it is called) so I had to buy a HDMI cable to connect. Not being computer savvy this took research so I would even know WHAT to do. Time wasted and if this were explained in the description would have saved me much headache.
All in all perfectly satisfied with this and expect to enjoy years of service.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
After being nagged repeatedly by a friend to read this book, I got a copy from the library. I was instantly into the story and simply did not want it to end. It is one of the most profound, inspiring books I have ever read. Written in simple, almost childlike language, it brings you back from the craziness we create in our daily lives to the REAL things that are important. I won't spoil it for you by telling the plot!
Anyone from age 10 to 100 can enjoy reading The Alchemist.
The book was written in English in 1993 and I believe has been written in many languages and sold all over the world. It has 178 pages and is a quick read - trust me, 178 pages in not nearly long enough.
I wanted a hardback copy to keep forever so I can re-read it (the book is that incredible) so looked on eBay. I did not realize until then how many other books had this title or were similar and its a good thing I had the authors name.
When I saw the book I purchased the photo was excellent, the description was clear and understandable, the price was very fair and I was thrilled. When it arrived I was even MORE thrilled! Not only is it in the original brown hardback but it has a heavy cardboard sleeve to protect it. Someone MUST have known I wanted this to be one of my special books to keep.
There are many books in this world - there are only a few that can make you stop and review your own life without trying to "fix" you or to "preach" to you to get their point across.
With The Alchemist you will turn and look at yourself and your life and then you can decide if what you are doing is your destiny.

Best camera and bundle for new DSLR owner
3 of 3 found this helpful First time DLSR owner and just beginning to take photos. This bundle fit all I was looking for and saved me quite a bit. A lot of bundles did not include VR lens, which I insisted on; this bundle does.
Great item packaging, nicely packed for safety. Camera is easy to learn and comes with all the accessories you need.
Weight of camera and 18-400 lens is a bit heavy but think it is because I am not accustomed to a DSLR.
One thing....the grip is on the right side and because I am left handed I find it hard to pick it up. Just have to learn to use my right hand I guess!
overall I am thrilled with this bundle; highly recommend.
