clear, neutral...very flat. Powerful for their size. In conjunction with a sub, this is a fantastic system for a small studio (with neighbors). It is full without overpowering the room or unnecessarily draining your budget.

limited application, but cool
This pedal has a very limited application, but I love what it does right. If you cannot crank your amp up and get natural feedback and that "on the edge" sustain, this will do it for you at lower volumes, which is great for home recording when you want that feel. It can be used to unnaturally sustain and add chaos as well. The distortion voicing is harsh across the spectrum, but it could be used to add a layer that complements other parts. Very pleased.
