Biography American Artist and Illustrator N. C. Wyeth
Accurate portrayal of complicated, emotional, creative eldest son of displaced maternal Swiss immigrants, on his Mother's side, and one of the earlist settler families, Wyeth, (1645), of our beloved United States.
Wyeth was accepted at Howard Pyle's Art School, later known as the Brandywine School. Pyle was an icon of American Art. His school produced other notables, like Jessie Wilcox Smith, and Frank Schoonover.
N. C.'s progeny included Andrew Wyeth, who painted Christina's World in 1948, the most recognizable artwork of 20th Century popular paintings.
