Sturdy, Good Value, Questionable Mounting Features
I am an engineer. Apparently the person that designed the mounting features to the load bars was not.
1. The carriage bolt heads do not countersink into the holes provided in the topside of the rack because the
diameter of the bolt head is greater than the provided hole.
2. There is no way the square hole cut in the thin plastic (if the carriage bolt went in that far) for the carriage bolt underhead square flange would withstand the torque if installing lock-nuts.
3. Otherwise everything, quality, sturdiness, folding features (user must verify the small square teeth in the four retainers are completely aligned when tightening the thumb-knobs. Misalignment will break the teeth. V-teeth would be a better alternative.) seem very good.
