Expensive Expansion
Overpriced.
Manual indicates toughpad should not be hot-docked/undocked, so inconvenient complete suhtdown is required.

Works in Win 7 after firmware update
The unit works great once the firmware is upgraded. You need to have an IC programmer (or a friend with one) for W27C512 EEPROM chip (Winbond 64KB) and 24LC32A I2C (serial) EEPROM.
The latest driver is available from M-AUDIO website and the 1.21 firmware is available from one or more 3rd-party websites. I searched for 'midisport 8x8/s program firmware update' and downloaded the file(s).
