Excellent replacement Roland power supply!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is really a great replacement for many older Roland Midi sound modules. This power supply is better than the originals due to the fact that it provides a regulated 9v output due to the switching nature of the power supply as opposed to the original linear wall power adapters. It also provides 2amps of output current and that meets or exceeds the requirements of what most of the older midi modules need as well.
So in short you get an actual Roland modern switching power supply that can be used with a variety of Roland equipment and sound modules provided they match the power specs and polarity needed that this adapter provides. With this power supply's switching technology, you get a cleaner and more stable 9volt output that will mean less work for the voltage regulators inside your equipment which, equals less heat and an overall longer life on the equipment this is used with. Highly....HIGHLY recommended for devices it is compatible with.

Intellivision A/V Composite Video Mod Kit Review
This is a pretty straight forward kit to get installed to improve the audio and video of your Intellivision. There is some slight ghosting and interference patterns, but this isn't noticeable on a CRT only a flat-panel LCD/LED that these artifacts show up. It still looks loads better than RF!
I deviated a bit from the installation instructions in that I soldered my +5 from an unused solder pad off the board and soldered the ground from an empty spot on the outer ground plane of the main logic board. I did this because I'm not keen on soldering and getting that heat right next to 30+ year old mylar ribbon power cabling.
