Secure ? yes, Padded ? not so much

Locking mechanism works great on Fender - style strap buttons. Will not work on unusual strap buttons like a Gretsch. D’Addario calling it a padded strap is a misnomer. There is Minimal padding. Strap did stay in place during first gig and strap material did not slide on shoulder
