Great starter
This is great starter. Got it going in 2-3 days and was able to make a loaf. It has a wonderful malty sweet smell to it and is not a sour sourdough- perfect for my pumpernickel (see picture). Highly recommend it, especially if you want a contrast to your sour San Francisco starter. Probably would work well for baguette and pizza, though I haven’t had a chance to try it yet for those.

Fantastic Book
I highly recommend this book and author Linda Gordon. Great insights into what influenced and helped to create the artist Dorothea Lange. A highly intelligent, insightful and balanced analysis- the sign of a great historian. Get it and read it if you have any interest in Dorothea Lange, Maynard Dixon, journalistic photography or artistic women. Dorothea Lange’s photography’s influence on how we see the Great Depression is huge and incontrovertible. You will have a good idea where her perception of the world that led to those iconic photographs came from once you have read this book.

Replacement cord for Canon LC-E6E Battery Charger for DSLR
I bought a Canon 7D Mark II DSLR camera on eBay that came with an LC-E6E charger for the high-output LP-E6N Lithium batteries that work so well in that camera. Unfortunately the plug-in cord for the charger came apart near the plugin. I had given up hope after thinking about maybe repairing the cord until I found this replacement cord. Took a chance and bought it and it works great! The amperage on the cord says 2.5A/250V and the OEM cord says 6A/250V bur that doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve charged two batteries so far and it seems to work just fine. Plus it’s maybe 4X longer so it’s more convenient.
