Better than Apple TV for streaming
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought a new Apple TV and this to stream movies from my phone to tv. I returned the Apple TV and bought 3 chromecast. It all depends what you want it for. It streams flawless and is fast and easy.
To do the same with Apple TV I had to turn on mirroring. It was slow and didn't connect well. The screen on your phone has to be on the entire time. You can't use your phone to do other things. Text messages and everything pop up while watching something.
Chromecast connects so much better. You can use other apps, text, use Internet, etc while streaming content. No private text come on the screen for everyone to see. The only drawback is that you can't stream iTunes. That's Apple being Apple though.
