GIMBAL BEARING
What a lot of people do not realize is when to replace the gimbal bearing, I myself was one of them. So let me say this , if your boat is 5-6 years old, its recommended to replace. All the years I just thought the noise was just the motor, little did I knw when the motor is running , so is the gimbal bearing... in other words ALL THE TIME. With that said, when I replaced it I cant even hear the motor running !!! its sooooo quiet!! so don't hesitate to replace this , its inexpensive to do , and very well worth it !!
