Does everything I need
This switch exactly matches my requirements. It is small, so does not take up much desk space. I don't need a large number of switchports. Also it is silent, as there is no fan. Another bonus is that it came with a relatively new IOS installed.

Works well at low baud rates, not at 115200
I bought this device to connect a PC to the console port of a Cisco switch. The PC runs Win 10 and the terminal emulator is Putty or Kitty. The device works well at 9600, 19200 and 38400 baud. But at higher baud rates some characters get scrambled. At 115200 baud, all characters are scrambled in the Putty or Kitty screen, looking a little like a baud rate mismatch. Now this does not matter much as far as using the CLI on the switch is concerned, as 9600 and 19200 baud are quite sufficient. But if you wanted to install another IOS image on the switch over the console line, it would be faster at 115200 baud. Overall, I am pleased with the device.

Used passive heat sink
The item arrived without delay, a bit surprising as it came from USA to Australia. On inspection, there were a few bent fins, but these were easily straightened out with a small screwdriver. Even if left bent, there would be no significant obstruction to air flow. I was a bit worried because the attaching screws were immovably stuck tight in the standoffs. Normally, the standoffs are first screwed into the main board and the heatsink then screwed down against spring pressure into the standoffs, thus lowering the heatsink onto the CPU chip. I was forced to screw the locked screws and standoffs as a unit into the main board. However, everything works perfectly, and the temperature of the CPU remains in normal limits. Overall, a perfectly functional pre-used unit at a reasonable price.
