Short and to the point
This book states some points that should be obvious but usually get lost in the noise. The author speaks volumes in the space of something from Cliff Notes.

A good attempt to address an impossible problem
This was the only holster type case for my phone that met my specifications. It's the second one for me. The first lasted about a year. The only way to improve on it would be to provide a steel back plate, but that would make it heavy and expensive. This one is inexpensive enough that it's not a big deal to replace it when it wears out before the phone. Because of the size of the LG phone, the case tends to snag on things like seat belts. That yanking eventually will tear the belt clip off. At that point you can use the belt loops on the ends, but the case is flat and I'm round, so the stress will eventually tear one of the belt loops, at which time you should order a new one. This case is a good value for the money, so I recommend just replacing it as needed. There's no good way to attach a flat phone to a curved waistband. At least it provides better than usual protection if dropped, and the magnetic flap is very convenient and reliable. The alternative is those plastic back cases that have a belt clamp, but it that breaks, and the reviews say they do, the glass is not protected from the fall. This phone is too big for a shirt pocket and can't bend in a pants pocket, so if you're too old for a small screen, this is the best solution I've found.

Excellent value
It works fine. It looks good and sturdy, and it survived a lot of abuse fishing it though the house. What more could you ask for?
