A New Sound
This is my 2nd favorite CD of Joan's, and is shows how versatile her voice and song choice are. It is totally different than Relish and is very soul based. If you liked Relish, you may not like this CD. But if you are a die-hard Joan fan, I think you will enjoy the CD.

Joan getting back to her Roots
This CD is the closest thing Joan has come forward with that resembles her 1995 Relish CD, the CD that made her famous. Instead of keeping with this style, over the past few years she has released various CD's, all having very different sounds. There are a few songs on the CD that are very repetitive, but this CD is much better than her previous Breakfast in Bed CD.

Not what I Expected
Joan Osborne is one of my favorite artists, and I feel in this case, what makes her such a great singer (the diversity of her style and voice) went against her. This CD is very slow, with no truly powerful songs, and some songs are so annoying and 80's sounding that I skip over them when listening to the CD. Joan has an amazingly adaptable voice, but her song choice on this CD was very poor. I am glad she released another CD, "Wild One" so soon after this CD was released. Of course I will keep it as I add to my Joan Osborne CD's, but this is definitely the her worst CD.
