Good inexpensive TV, but bad sound
In most ways, this is a good serviceable TV value: slim, modern, simple, 19" screen, bright, colorful picture with apparently adequate resolution; nice that it has an HDMI port and USB port. (I say "apparently adequate resolution" because I use it on a cable outlet without a cable box, and the channels vary in picture quality-- none are great.) My biggest reason for taking away 2 stars is that the sound quality is very poor, and I don't think it's the channels. The instant I first turned it on, I was struck with how metallic and narrow-ranging the sound was. I literally never run this TV without piping the sound through a Bose sound system (which was already on a shelf under the table where I added this replacement for a very old TV). Consistent with its size, I think this is an "accessory" TV for casual, occasional viewing situations: kitchen, bathroom, guest bedroom-- where people won't be watching it intently for hours.
