By far the best season ever
7 of 19 found this helpful Season One is the best season of 24. I don't even bother watching 24 on television during the regular season because it's SO much better watching the DVD. This way, I don't have to wait an entire week before I find out what happens next. It's also kinda cool literally spending 24 hours watching the season -- because in some way you feel you're watching in real time.
Watching an entire season on DVD is the BEST way to enjoy the series. Buy it today!

One of my favorite movies of all time
28 of 32 found this helpful This is one of the best movies about friendship and loyalty that even transcends the 70s style directing, cheesey music, and even I'll admit crappy dialogue. (This is why I rated it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5).
Casino Raiders is the story of two best friends, casino hustlers, who begin to move in opposite directions. One falls in love with a beautiful woman with a rich and powerful father who is forced to turn his back on his friend when his future father-in-law asks him to stop hustling and pursue a legitimate career. The other descends into a world of drinking and gambling after a HUGE sacrifice that he makes in order to save his best friend's life that leaves him with the inability to pursue his hustling ways.
Ultimately, friendship prevails. The message that I took away from this film was that the bond between friends is even stronger than than the bond between a man and a woman.
You won't get to see this movie anywhere else. After almost a decade of searching for this movie, I finally found it on eBay. It's a classic. BUY IT TODAY!

Worth buying the DVD
10 of 22 found this helpful The special features alone make purchasing this DVD worthwhile. You get to see the other opening scene to the movie that the producers considered. You get to see alternative scenes -- voice over from the director as to why certain scenes were included over others.
The alternative opening scene really added more depth to Holly Hunter's character. You see her at a neighborhood barbecue -- where a snobby woman looks down on her because she is "just a housewife." Yet, we know that she's Plastic Girl and saved the world for so many years. As a woman, I really related to this scene. Only on the DVD do we even get a chance to get to know Plastic Girl more.
Buy the DVD -- makes a great gift -- not only for kids but also for adults. When you get bored of it, sell it on eBay.
Trust me, the special features alone make this DVD worth every penny!
