Missing internal software needed for office environment

This model of 4250N was missing the internal software allowing it to be networked. We kept the unit and are using it as a stand alone printer. We had hoped to network it. Print quality is great but my IT guy went crazy trying to find the HP networking software which it did not have . We have 2 other 42050N units that are networked. I assume all 4250N units were networkable. I guessed wrong
