Colourful and entertaining
I remember enjoying this movie as a child so now owning the DVD holds great nostalgic
appeal for me.Not the funniest Bob Hope vehicle but a very pleasant diversion with a
good supporting cast.Picture quality is excellent and the costumes look great.If you are
a Hope fan then this a must-have for your collection.All good clean fun.Thank you.

An absolute must-have for Van Johnson fans.
Being a real Van Johnson fan this version is naturally the only recording
of “The Music Man” that I want to listen to.I really enjoy his singing
voice and his interpretation of the role but more than that the rest of the
cast are delightful.Patricia Lambert has a gorgeous voice and her ‘My
White Knight’ is thrilling (the Shirley Jones reworking of the song sounds tepid by comparison).Fans of Denis Waterman the man will get
a real kick out of his boyhood outing as Winthrop.Chorus,orchestra and
sound quality make this disc a pleasurable experience.

Thoroughly appealing for young and old.
Loved it as a child and find I can still really enjoy it.
All the actors are very well cast and the whole film
has a delightful Australian flavour.
