Highly recommended!
2 of 2 found this helpful I was on the fence about getting the GoPro remote because some people said much of the functionality, if not more, could be done from a smartphone. However, I found it much more convenient to use the remote vs. having to use my smartphone. The remote can power on the GoPro, is waterproof, did not need to be switched between wifi networks, and has a battery life that latest a full day. I also made good use of the wrist strap, which was very nice to have. I have a GoPro 4 Silver.
