Why the CH-300 rocks the house!!!!
I bought this DVD player as a birthday present. When I received it, I was dismayed to see that it was the "North American version 1.1". My disappoint turned to joy when I was able to unlock it and play an Australian DVD with NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!!!!
The player is small, light and compact. It can be hooked up easily with it's A/V cables. An RF modulator can be used to hook up to a TV via a coaxial cable, but it creates a rather loud and annoying hum that comes and goes when ever you watch a movie. This has occurred with all my DVD players that I used so it may be able to be fixed with a better quality RF modulator.
Picture quality is good considering it's tiny size. I have also used my own personal CH-300 to look at pictures on a disc with no malfunctions.This particular '300 that I ordered also has effects for when you play CD's to make it sound like a concert hall, room and more.
The player seems to be durable and relatively inexpensive compared with other models. It can usually be made to play any region of DVD's or CD's with a few clicks of the remote. Once you've done this and saved it, it need not be unlocked again. The remote is a little small and the buttons don't light up or glow in the dark but the batteries can easily be found at Radio Shack.
In summary, the CH-300 is a great multiple-region DVD player at an unbeatable price. Get when while you can find them and while they are still available at low prices.

SEGA Genesis Collection
I like retro gaming and even have an emulator for my computer but wanted something a little more substantial than some small figures on my computer screen. When I saw this game for sale, I checked it out. It had many games I liked and also had some of the sequels that I never got to play so I bought it.It came very quickly and I immediately took to playing it. I really enjoy it now and have fun with it. The Collection has many extras and some of the games seem to have been updated, especially the Phantasy Star series. The only negative thing I have is that to save your progress you have to save it twice. You first save it in the game that you are playing, then press select to bring up the Collection's in-game menu and select save. This saves your current progress in the game that you are playing. This can be a bit tedious, but if you want to make progress make sure you save. In short if you like retro Sega Genesis games, then you will love this,

The Great Dictator product review
I had the privilege of watching the The Great Dictator. First I start by saying yes this is mostly a parody but one with an important message. The film starts in World War One off with classic Chaplin slapstick as he (as the Jewish Barber) fires a cannon. His first round hits an outhouse and the second is a dud and falls out. As he tries to inspect its fuse, the massive shell follows him around until it explodes. After some more comic mischief ensues he finds himself fighting on the wrong side, hanging upside down in an airplane and crashing nearly killing him and the pilot. After the war he lands in a hospital while a splitting image of him Adenoid Hynkel(Chaplin in a dual role.)takes over the country. The barber proceeds to reopen his shop in the ghetto, where the Jews are forced to live. He is almost hanged by some troopers, who had steal from the residents and pelted a girl with tomatoes for insulting them, but is saved when the pilot, now a commander, drives by and tells his men to let him go. The ghetto is at peace for a while. Still Hynkel aspires to be a cruel dictator and has the commander arrested who escapes later on. The ghetto is set fire to and some people flee, including the woman who was pelted with tomatoes in the beginning of the movie. The barber is captured and put into prison with the commander, who was recaptured. They escape and the Barber passes off as Hynkel who has invaded the country of Osterlich. Hynkel's men abuse the girl's family and beat her, leaving her laying on the ground. The barber steps up to speak makes an impassioned speech on behalf of humanity.
I bought this set for a class project but soon found that I enjoyed it very much. The movie is very funny even today with Chaplin doing the famous globe dance and him and the Mussolini parody food fighting.The movie starts off as a comedy but becomes progressively darker as we see the true nature of dictatorships exposed. The second disc has a very good documentary about Charlie Chaplin and Adolf Hitler, who were born only 4 days apart in April 1889.It also contains making of footage in color from the Chaplin Family's private collection giving us further insight into the process.
I don't have any complaints about this. It is well put together and has a cover that goes over the folder holding the discs for added protection.
